Six persons injured in the NTPC boiler blast in Uttar Pradesh and admitted to the AIIMS trauma centre have started showing improvement and are taking solid food and responding to physiotherapy, doctors said.
According to the AIIMS protocol division, all the patients have started moving, except one who has had skin grafted in the lower limbs.
"Chest and limbs physiotherapy has been started for all the six patients. All the patients are being managed by a team of 20 people consisting of plastic surgeons, physiotherapists, nutritionists," said the department in a statement.
The six patients were received at AIIMS trauma centre on November 3, while 12 others were air lifted to Safdarjung hospital.
Two of the patients at Safdarjung, aged 22 and 40, died as they had 90 per cent burn injuries.
