Obama fell prey to Indian propaganda, says Hafiz Saeed

Points out that instead of levelling allegations against LeT, evidence should be presented before the court

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder and 26/11 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed has said that US President Barack Obama fell prey to Indian propaganda and issued a statement against the Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), an avowedly religious front headed by Saeed.

In an interview to Geo News here, Saeed Thursday said it was regretful that Obama, without making any investigation into the Indian propaganda, went ahead and "issued a statement against us", reported The News International.

Stating that Pakistan's Supreme Court had earlier ruled that no charges were proved against JuD, Saeed said: "India too had failed to hand over any evidence to Pakistan on Mumbai attacks in the past five years."

He added that instead of levelling allegations against his outfit, evidence should be presented before the court.

He also said that Obama has sidelined the issue of drone attacks and brought up the matter of JuD during his meeting with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the White House Wednesday.

"Jamaat-ud Dawa has been raising its voice against drone strikes for the past three years," he said.
