Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced on Wednesday that he had joined the social media platform Facebook.
Patnaik had joined Twitter in September last year.
"The chief minister's Facebook page will facilitate feedback from people and promote better delivery of services and governance," said a statement from his office.
"Citizens are encouraged to provide suggestions and ideas for using the page," it said.
