Odisha government invites suggestions for preparation of annual budget

Like the previous year, the Odisha government on Friday sought suggestions from different sections of society for preparation of the annual budget 2018-19.

The state government sought suggestions from common people, civil society organisations, different advocacy groups and other stakeholders to make use of this unique opportunity to participate in the budget-making process of the state government.

The Finance Department has initiated the process of obtaining inputs for preparation of annual Budget 2018-19 through a separate web portal budget.odisha.gov.in, through e-mail and SMS, said an official.

The portal displays all budget related documents, he added.

The department invited suggestions in a structured format (displayed on the webpage) to be used as an input in the process of preparation of the annual.

Suggestions can be sent via email address odisha.budget@gov.in as well as through Whatsapp, Telegram and via SMS to the Mobile number (+91)9438161111.

This facility will be available from December 23 to January 10 next year, the official said.
