Filmmaker Omung Kumar has signed TV actor Sidhant Gupta for his upcoming film "Bhoomi", which marks actor Sanjay Dutt's comeback.
"Signed Sidhant Gupta as lead opposite Aditi Rao Hydari in 'Bhoomi' Legend Studios releasing on August 4...Sidhant Gupta," Kumar tweeted on Thursday night.
Sidhant, who is making his Bollywood debut with the film, is mainly known for his role as Kunj Sarna in the television show "Tashan-e-Ishq".
The film is a revenge drama, which marks Sanjay's return to filmdom after he completed his term in in Yerwada Jail for illegal possession of arms.
"Bhoomi", which delves into a father-daughter relationship, will see Sanjay in the role of a father, while Aditi will play his daughter.
The project is co-produced by T-Series and Legend Studios and it is slated to release on August 4.
