On the 35th death anniversary of late legendary playback singer Mohammed Rafi on Friday, actor Rishi Kapoor has thanked him for being his voice in several movies.
The 62-year-old posted on micro-blogging website Twitter: "Thank you Rafi sahab for being my playback voice. Still remember you telling me - "Tu ganda hai meri Awaaz ich, bada sona lagda hai". Jinda reh."
Rafi sang songs like "Dard-e-dil" from the 1980 film "Karz" and "Shirdi wale saibaba" from the 1977 film "Amar Akbar Anthony" for Rishi.
The legendary singer, who died on July 31, 1980, is also known for famous numbers like "Chaudhvin ka chand ho", "Kya hua tera wada", "Aadmi musaafir hai" and "Maine poocha chand se".
