A Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus killed a 50-year-old woman and injured three in Delhi Saturday, said a police official.

The incident occurred at 8.15 a.m. near Shakarpur area's Pillar Number 58 in east Delhi.

The low-floor bus first hit another parked DTC bus. It then climbed onto the pavement, and struck an electric pole.

After coming back onto the road, it hit a woman and injured three people, then rammed into a car.

"Joginder, the driver of the bus, a man of about 33 years, was arrested for rash and negligent driving," said the police official.

The victim, a resident of Trilokpuri in east Delhi, died on the spot.

The injured are under treatment at a hospital.
