Over 1.4 lakh visit Mughal Gardens in first week

Over 1,40,000 people visited the Mughal Gardens of the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the first week of being thrown open for public viewing, an official statement said here Sunday.

The main draw of this year's Udyanotsav (Garden festival) which stared Feb 14 are Tulips in red, orange and yellow colours mixed with red, pink, purple and white.

The garden has 120 varieties of roses, including the green and black roses that are central to the fame of Mughal Gardens and a permanent feature throughout the year.

The garden would remain open till March 15, from 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m, except Monday.
