Over 20,000 class XII seats are lying vacant in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) across the country, parliament was informed Wednesday.
Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani, in a written reply in the Lok Sabha, said 20,767 seats in Class XII were lying vacant in various KVs across the country.
The number of vacant seats in Class XI is 10,483, in Class X, 7,330 and in Class IX, 2,457.
The numbers of vacant seats in Class I, II and III are 5,747, 3,936 and 3,078 respectively.
