English football club Crystal Palace has become the latest side which has been linked with a potential transfer of Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini.
Flamini was released from the club in June and there have been quite a few clubs who have shown interest in him.
Flamini, who made 246 appearances over his two spells at Arsenal, and his representative have spoken to Palace, Italian sides AS Roma and AC Milan, Greek team Olympiakos over a full-time contract and the Frenchman is currently weighing up his options, according to The Guardian.
Palace coach Alan Pardew had made clear his desire to secure a replacement for the departed Mile Jedinak. But his moves for Jack Wilshere, James McCarthy and Tomas Rincon failed at the last moment.
Arsenal favoured Bournemouth's loan bid for Wilshere.
Talks for Rincon, the Venezuela captain, with his Italian club Genoa floundered over a fee.
Flamini made 24 appearances for Arsenal last season, the last of which came in a 1-3 Champions League knockout defeat against FC Barcelona in March.
He had been expected to join the Turkish club Caykur Rizespor earlier in the summer.
