Papa CJ 'can't wait' to make London's comedy lovers laugh

Indian stand-up comedian Papa CJ's popular show Naked, which is to be staged in Mumbai on Sunday, has been invited for the Just For Laughs Festival (JLF) in London in July.

Excited about the invitation, Papa CJ told IANS: "Just for Laughs is the most prestigious curated comedy festival in the world. It is a great honour for my show Naked to be the only show from Asia invited to premiere at their inaugural festival in London. In 2009, I had performed at the Just for Laughs Festival in Canada and had a wonderful time there.

"Since this festival is in London where only three months ago, I had sold out the Soho Theatre in London's West End, I can't wait to go back and do the same at JFL London."

But before that, the comedian is looking forward to entertaining the audience at the NCPA Tata Theatre in Mumbai with the show, which has been described as honest, raw and compelling.

Drama, poetry, storytelling, music, dance, comedy, tragedy and hope are some the elements which are a part of the multi-genre one-man production, the tickets for which are available on bookmyshow.
