A 25-year-old Delhi Police constable, along with another man, was arrested in connection with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) examination paper leak last month, an official said Sunday.

Mohit Kumar, a constable posted at south Delhi's Defence Colony police station, was arrested Friday when he was on duty while co-accused Jai Karan, who had arranged the answer keys for the exam, was arrested from his house in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut July 6, a police officer said.

"Jai Karan revealed that he provided the answer keys of various competitive examinations held for government posts through his associate Vikas," said Ravindra Yadav, additional commissioner of police.

"Mohit said he contacted Pawan to ensure the selection of his brother who appeared in the RPF exam. He said Pawan was known for running recruitment rackets in western Uttar Pradesh," said Yadav.

The officer said Pawan contacted KMohit umar and offered him to provide the answer keys for the RPF exam.

"Pawan had struck a deal with Mohit for Rs.3 lakh for providing the answer keys through SMS. Mohit paid him Rs.50,000 as advance," said the officer.

Earlier this month, police arrested six exam candidates from Delhi minutes after the examination started.

The RPF examination was held June 30 across India except in Karnataka and Meghalaya by the railway recruitment board for the post of constables.
