Tamil actor Parthiban is set to dub in his own voice in his Kannada debut film "Dada Is Back". The film's director Santosh says the senior actor has been learning the language since the beginning of the film.
"He was learning the language from the day he joined us on sets. He must've watched over a dozen Kannada movies and also bought a dictionary with Kannada to English translation. He wrote all his dialogues in Tamil, practiced them and delivered flawlessly," Santosh told IANS.
The film, which is nearly sixty percent complete, will resume shooting from Wednesday.
"With just a week of shoot left, we should wrap up by this month end or early next month. We also have to shoot some fight sequences and a few songs," he said.
The movie also features Shravya and Sudharani in important roles.
Santosh said Parthiban's experience as a filmmaker also came in very handy when it came to cost-cutting.
