A peaceful Pakistan is the top most priority of the government and the war on terror will continue till the elimination of the last terrorist in the country, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said.
While chairing a meeting to discuss overall security and economic situation, Sharif on Friday said Pakistan was on the right track towards stability and economic progress.
Sharif briefed the meeting on his latest visits to Saudi Arabia, Iran and Switzerland, Radio Pakistan reported. He said the government's efforts have raised Pakistan's image abroad.
Sharif was also briefed on the investigation into the attack at Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said the perpetrators and facilitators of the act will be brought to justice.
It was decided that the Karachi operation by the Rangers will continue till its logical conclusion.
