Perth Scorchers will look to upset Kolkata Knight Riders as the two teams clash in the Champions League Twenty20 here Wednesday.

Brad Hogg, a senior member of the team, believes it will be a great match but playing quality spinner like Sunil Narine will be a big challenge.

"We got off to a great start in this tournament beating Dolphins the other day and are looking forward to testing our young players against an Indian Premier League (IPL) team Wednesday," he said after the team's practice session at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here.

The veteran left-arm spinner said unlike last year when they had very inexperienced players, this time they have a "pretty strong team".

"We are expecting to upset a few teams in this tournament. It's always good to play IPL teams -- they are full of great Indian players as well as best overseas players. It's going to be great challenge for us," said the former Australian player.

He believes playing on the turning pitches in India is a challenge as they are used to pitches which offer bounce.

"I didn't have that much success in India and that's why it's great to come back and have another opportunity especially against KKR and Chennai who have some of the best players of spin," said Hogg.

Describing Narine as a class bowler, he said the spinner bowls both ways and puts the batsmen under pressure. KKR, which won both the matches in the tournament so far, would like to make it to the semi final. However, KKR bowling coach Wasim Akram said it would not be easy against Scorchers as they are the champions in Australia and have three spinners.
