Petrol cheaper by 65 paise a litre

With international crude oil prices going below $95 a barrel, petrol prices were cut by 65 paise a litre with effect from midnight.

Since the three rate cuts in August, petrol prices have continued to show a downward trend.

"Thus a downward revision in selling price of petrol is being effected w.e.f midnight of 30th Sep/Oct 1, 2014," state-run oil marketer Indian Oil said in a statement here.

With this price revision, petrol will cost at Rs.67.86 a litre in Delhi, Rs.75.73 in Mumbai, Rs.75.46 in Kolkata and Rs.70.87 in Chennai.
