Over 30 photographs capturing the biodiversity in and around Indian and African national parks are on display here at an exhibition to promote conservation.
The 'Woods Away' exhibit showcases 36 vibrant images - 12 from Africa featuring the Masai Mara (Kenya), and Kruger (South Africa) and 24 from Indian spots such as Ranthambhore, Sunderbans and Corbett.
Participating photographers are wildlife enthusiasts Joydip Kundu, Suchandra Kundu, Dhiman Ghosh and Shiladitya Chaudhury.
"We wanted to showcase the biodiversity of India and Africa and spread awareness on conservation through the photographs," Joydip, general secretary of Society for Heritage and Ecological Researches, the organisers told IANS.
A member of the state wildlife biodiversity, Joydip said the proceeds from the sales of the photographs will be directed to conservation efforts in the Sundarbans.
The exhibition runs at the ITC Sonar till June 21.
