Pleasant Saturday in Delhi, light rain expected

Pleasant weather will prevail this weekend with cloudy skies and spells of rain and thundershowers, a weather official said, forecasting light rain in parts of the city over the next 24 hours.

"The skies will be cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers in some parts of the national capital tonight (Saturday) and tomorrow (Sunday)," an IMD official said.

The maximum and minimum temperatures Saturday were 37.2 degrees Celsius and 26.4 degrees Celsius respectively, both two notches below average for this time of the season.

The maximum humidity level was 79 percent and the minimum was 48 percent.

"Maximum and minimum temperatures Sunday will hover around 33 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively," the official added.

Friday's maximum temperature stood at 38.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average, while the minimum settled at 27.8 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.
