PM congratulates Siddaramaiah

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Saturday congratulated Karnataka's incoming Chief Minister K. Siddaramaiah who will head a new Congress government in the state.

According to official sources, the prime minister spoke to Siddaramaiah over the telephone and wished him well for the future.

Siddaramaiah was named the chief minister by the Congress Friday after the party ousted the Bharatiya Janata Party in elections.
