Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday met senior ministers over the suicide by a farmer in the national capital at a rally of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
According to sources, Home Minister Rajnath Singh briefed the prime minister on the incident.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari were also present at the meeting.
Gajendra had committed suicide on Wednesday by hanging himself from a tree during an Aam Aadmi Party rally against the Land Acquisition Bill in the national capital.
Both houses of parliament also witnessed massive uproar over the issue and Home Minister Rajnath Singh is expected to make a statement on this.
