A district police chief was killed following a bomb attack by the Taliban in Afghanistan's Badghis province, police said on Wednesday.
"Ismail Khan Shukori, police chief of Muqur district, along with a police constable, was killed following a roadside bomb blast in his vehicle in Miranzayee area late on Tuesday," Xinhua news agency quoted a police spokesman as saying.
Shukori was inspecting security checkpoints before the blast in the province, which has been the scene of clashes between security forces and Taliban militants.
