Police kill criminal in Greater Noida

Police on Wednesday shot dead one of the three criminals in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh when they were trying to escape after stealing a car and Rs 1.5 lakh in cash, an officer said.

The incident occurred in Sector 58 in neighbouring Noida. As they were chased by a police team, a gun battle erupted near Bisrakh in Greater Noida, a police spokesman told IANS.

One of the criminals was fatally shot. Two others escaped. The stolen car and money have been recovered, the spokesman added.
