A police official committed suicide in a police station barrack in Jharkhand's Bokaro city on Sunday.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Lalji Singh was found hanging by his neck from a ceiling fan at Thermal Power police station barrack in Bokaro, around 130 km from here, the state police said.
According to the police, what caused Lalji Singh to commit suicide is not clear. His body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
Singh belonged to Buxar district in Bihar.
He is the second police official of Jharkhand to commit suicide this year. Earlier, a police inspector committed suicide inside a police station.
