The Ghaziabad police have intensified patrolling and frisking in all shopping malls and hotels of the city for safe and secure New Year celebrations for all.
Superintendent of Police Muniraj said the decision to intensify patrolling was taken as a precautionary measure so no untoward incident occurs during New Year celebrations in shopping malls.
"The managements of shopping malls, including Shipra Mall, Pacific Mall, ED Mall, Ansal Plaza and others, have been asked to comply with the instructions of the police and conclude celebrations before midnight. The managements have, also, been asked to intensify frisking of visitors so that programmes are held smoothly," he said.
The hotels also have been asked to maintain identity cards and all possible records of customers who are staying there. This has been done to check entry of anti-socials into the hotels, added Muniraj.
