The poll panel will soon send a detailed security plan for West Bengal in the Lok Sabha elections, said Deputy Election Commissioner Vinod Zutshi Wednesday after meeting representatives of all political parties as well as key administrative officials.

"We discussed at length with each district magistrate and superintendent of police over law and order and other issues that need to be addressed, so that the polls are held in a peaceful manner," he said after the meeting.

Zutshi, who met the top police and administrative brass, said a host of issues were discussed including use of paramilitary forces in during the polls as well as border issues.

"We will prepare security plans for each district and shortly we will send a format to the district officials for working on them," he said.

He refused to assess the current law and order situation of the state but said all aspects will be covered including the issue of threats from Maoists.

"I would not make an assessment for the time being, but we are looking at a possible law and order situation and conducive environment which has to e created when the polls are held.

"Millions of people come out on the poll days so we are looking into the law and order situation from the point of view of elections only," added Zutshi.
