Balloting ended peacefully in all the 18 constituencies in five districts of Jammu and Kashmir that voted Tuesday in the second phase of the five-phase state assembly elections.
Poll officials said voting ended peacefully at all the 2,181 polling stations in Reasi, Poonch, Udhampur, Kulgam and Kupwara districts.
No major untoward incident was reported from anywhere during the polling process.
The Election Commission had appointed district level and micro observers in addition to webcasting and videography at many polling stations, officials said.
Though polling officially ended at 4 p.m., balloting continued in some polling stations where voters had entered the demarcated areas but had not cast their votes.
Chief Electoral Officer Umang Narula will later brief the media in Jammu about the poll percentage and other details.
