State-owned Power Grid Corporation of India on Monday announced a 22.17 increase in its standalone net profit for the fourth quarter ended March at Rs 1,916.36 crore, compared with Rs 1,568.58 crore in the same period of 2015-16.
Standalone total income during the said quarter increased 17.87 per cent to Rs 7,054.45 crore, from Rs 5,984.49 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, the company said in BSE filing.
For the full 2016-17 fiscal, the company's standalone net profit rose 26.42 per cent to Rs 7,520.15 crore, from Rs 5,948.50 crore in the previous year.
The firm's standalone total income during the entire fiscal in question went up by 25.13 per cent at Rs 26,581.46 crore, compared with the income of Rs 21,243.30 crore during financial year 2015-16.
For the full 2016-17 fiscal, the company's consolidated net profit rose 25.04 per cent to Rs 7,450.73 crore, from Rs 5,958.61 crore in the previous year.
The firm's consolidated total income during the entire fiscal in question went up by 24.48 per cent at Rs 26,287.72 crore, compared with the income of Rs 21,118.37 crore during financial year 2015-16.
"During the year, the company has paid an interim dividend of Rs 1 per share for the year 2016-17. The Board of Directors has recommended final dividend of Rs 3.35 per share. The total dividend for 2016-17 is Rs 4.35 per share," the statement said.
