He wears many hats and choreographer-actor-director Prabhudheva says being a dancer he relates more to romance than action and wonders how he became an action film director.

After directing two action movies in Bollywood - "Wanted" and "Rowdy Rathore", he dealt with his favourite genre in his forthcoming film "Ramaiya Vastavaiya", a romantic drama.

"As a choreographer, I am actually related to the romantic part because songs happen only when romance happens. I don't know how I became an action director," the 40-year-old said here Monday in an interview.

"When I did 'Wanted', people asked me you are a choreographer, how will you do an action film? But it happened," he added.

"Ramaiya Vastavaiya" marks the debut of Girish Kumar, son of producer Kumar Taurani.

Talking about Girish, Prabhudheva said: "I told Kumarji, when he booked me as the director, let me test him. He was hardworking and I liked him. One year later, we started the film."

"In that one year I told Kumarji to let him just dance our own Bollywood dance and not send him to any foreign country to learn all that... So he did that and every 15 days, he would send me a CD and he kept going to the next level," he said.

Shruti Haasan plays Girish's love interest in the film that also stars Sonu Sood, Randhir Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Poonam Dhillon and Satish Shah. It hits theatres July 19.
