Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, who was recently given a clean chit by the National Investigative Agency in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, on Thursday offered prayers at the Mahakal temple here during the ongoing Simhastha Kumbh.
Pragya, who was lodged in a private hospital after she reached Ujjain, was brought to the Mahakal temple in the afternoon under heavy security.
Breaking with traditions set for VIP visits during the religious festival, authorities allowed Pragya to offer prayers in the sanctum sanctorum.
She was brought here on Wednesday to enable her to bathe in the holy Kshipra river during the ongoing Kumbh.
