Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Monday asked the city's dwellers to pray to God that the rain stops, declining to get into the blame game for the chaos post the deluge last weekend.

"Pray to God that the rain stops. I don't want to get into fixing anybody's responsibilities," Dikshit told reporters to queries about the post-rain mess in the capital city.

"It is the responsibility of the civic bodies," she added.

Heavy rain lashed the national capital Saturday, exposing the lack of preparedness of civic and government authorities in dealing with clogged drains and flooded roads.

Roads, which are maintained by the Delhi government's public works department, caved in in several parts of the capital.

Massive traffic jams were reported from across the city as roads got submerged under rainwater Saturday.

Two Metro stations were also temporarily shut down due to flooding, as was the arrival hall of the Indira Gandhi International Airport for a while.
