President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday condoled the death of Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
"Heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of his majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand," Mukherjee said in a tweet.
"People of India share the sorrow and grief of the people of Thailand," he added.
The Thai King, the world's longest-reigning monarch, died on Thursday in Bangkok at the age of 88.
He ruled the kingdom for seven decades and was revered by the Thai public as a semi-divine figure.
