President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday greeted France on its National Day on Tuesday.
In a message to French President Francois Hollande, Mukherjee said: "It gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of France National Day.
"India and France enjoy close bonds of friendship and cooperation. Our strategic partnership has gained a fresh momentum recently," the president said.
"I am confident that our fruitful collaboration including in strategic areas will continue to grow from strength to strength in the years ahead for the mutual benefit of our two countries and peoples."
The French National Day commemorates the beginning of the French Revolution with the Storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789, as well as the Fete de la Federation which marks the unity of the French people - on July 14, 1790.
