President receives Rotary's Award of Honour

President Pranab Mukherjee Tuesday received Rotary's highest award, the Award of Honour, a recognition for heads of countries or governments who have rendered unique services to humanity and served the country and its people.

The award was presented by Rotary International president Ron Burton at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Burton conveyed the greetings and admiration of Rotarians across the world to Mukherjee for his leadership and on India's victory over polio.

Mukherjee appreciated Rotary's work in India and across the world, especially the support lent by it to the government for polio eradication.
