President Pranab Mukherjee will declare open the annual Udyanotsav (Garden Festival) 2015 at the Mughal Gardens in Rashtrapati Bhavan here Friday.
The main attraction of this year are tulips.
"About 10,000 tulips in vivid colours of red, orange and yellow mixed with red, pink, purple and white are expected to bloom in phases up to March 10," a Rashtrapati Bhavan release said.
The garden also has 120 varieties of roses, along with special roses like the green and black rose.
There are 40 fragrant varieties, including belami, black lady, double delight and Eiffel Tower.
"The gardens have roses named after Mother Teresa, Raja Ram Mohan Roy, John F. Kennedy and Queen Elizabeth," added the statement.
