Pressure cooker bombs found in Jharkhand

Jharkhand Police Wednesday recovered a landmine and 18 pressure cooker bombs in West Singhbhum district, officials said.

Police said a 45-kg landmine was recovered from Tirilposi village in the district, around 170 km from Ranchi. It was later defused.

Police also recovered 18 pressure cooker bombs from the house of Durga Angeria, a resident of Kunaina village in the same district.

In the last one week, police have recovered more than 130 landmines planted by Maoists, including 125 in Lohardagga.

Maoist guerrillas are active in 18 of the 24 district of the state.
