Prisoner dies in Andhra jail

A 50-year-old undertrial prisoner in a jail in Andhra Pradesh died of cardiac arrest Thursday, police said.

The incident took place in Allagadda sub-jail in Kurnool district, about 325 km from here.

According to police, Dastagir suffered cardiac arrest early Thursday. The jail authorities shifted to him a nearby hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.
