Veteran producer G.K. Reddy, father of southern actor Vishal Krishna Reddy, has donned the greasepaint for the first time in Kannada film "Rakshasi", a remake of recent Tamil horror hit "Pisasu".
According to a statement, Reddy plays the role originally essayed by Radha Ravi in the film's Tamil version.
In the movie, he plays the father of popular Kannada actress Sindhu Loknath, while newcomer Navarasan plays the male lead.
The film, which is being directed by debutant Ashraf, recently went on floors here. Apparently, Vishal paid his father a surprise visit on the sets.
As a producer, Reddy is known for several hits like "Prema Chadarangam" and "Idhu Unga Kudumbam".
