A property dealer was found shot dead here on Monday, police said.
Superintendent of Police Shweta Chaubey said the body of Jai Karan Rautela (40) was found in Shuklapur area on the outskirts of Dehradun city. He had been shot four times.
"Residents saw a body lying by the roadside and informed the police," Chaubey said. "People claim to have heard noises sounding like bursting of firecrackers around midnight. It was actually gun shots."
The deceased was a property dealer in Dehradun.
