The prosecution Friday concluded its evidence in a robbery case against Dec 16 gang rape convicts. A total of 37 prosecution witnesses were examined in this case.
Additional Sessions Judge Daya Prakash, after concluding the examination of the prosecution witnesses, has fixed Feb 19 for recording of the statement of the accused.
Police will also file reply on that day on a plea of Vinay Sharma, an accused who has claimed himself to be a minor and sought an ossification test.
Sharma and three others - Akshay Thakur, Mukesh and Pawan Gupta - are facing trial for allegedly beating up and robbing a carpenter, Ram Adhar, before raping and assaulting a 23-year-old girl in a moving bus here Dec 16, 2012. They have been sentenced to death in the case, and the hearings on confirmation of the sentence are underway in the Delhi High Court.
