PSG, Juve, Atletico, Benfica in Champions League last 16 (Roundup)

Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Benfica have qualified for the knockout stage of the Champions League.

In Wednesday's action, Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored against his former club and Angel Di Maria netted a pair of goals as visitors Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) demolished Malmo FC 5-0 to clinch second place in Group A with 10 points.

Group A leaders Real Madrid, who punched their ticket for the Round of 16 earlier, withstood a ferocious late comeback by Shakhtar Donetsk to win 4-3 on Wednesday.

Bouncing back after a 0-4 drubbing from arch-rivals FC Barcelona last weekend, Madrid took a 4-0 lead against Shakhtar after Cristiano Ronaldo's double strike and goals from Dani Carvajal and Luka Modric before conceding three goals in the last 15 minutes.

With the victory, Real Madrid have 13 points from five matches. Shakhtar and Malmo are left with three points each while PSG improved to 10 points after the fifth round.

In Turin, Juventus blanked Manchester City 1-0 to move up to the top of Group D with 11 points, advancing on a goal by Mario Mandzukic.

Despite the loss, City - at nine points - could still win the group, provided they beat Borussia Monchengladbach in the final group match and Juventus loses to Sevilla.

Sevilla lost 2-4 to Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday and are out of the running for qualification.

In Madrid, Antoine Griezmann scored both goals as Atletico Madrid dominated Galatasaray 2-0 to move up to 10 points and first place in Group C.

Benfica battled back from 2-0 down to secure a 2-2 draw with Astana in the Kazakhstan capital on Wednesday.

The Portuguese club also have 10 points and the group winner will be determined by the outcome next month's Benfica-Atletico clash in Lisbon.

Galatasaray, with four points, and Astana, who have three, will square off in Istanbul to decide the third place.

Both knockout stage berths in Group B remain up for grabs after five matches.

In Manchester, United and PSV Eindhoven played to a 0-0 draw Wednesday at Old Trafford stadium, leaving the English side with eight points and the Dutch club with seven in Group B.

VFL Wolfsburg, 2-0 winners on Wednesday over the already eliminated CSKA Moscow, have nine points and can finish first with a victory over Manchester United in the final group match.
