PSV Eindhoven has successfully defended the Eredivisie title and won it for the second consecutive time after defeating PEC Zwolle 3-1, while second-placed Ajax Amsterdam only drew 1-1 against De Graafschap.
It was PSV's 20th overall league title, reports Efe.
After Sunday's victory, PSV Eindhoven under command of ex-Dutch international Phillip Cocu, racked up 84 points; just two points ahead of Ajax in the second place.
Ajax would have secured the title if it had won against De Graafschap on Sunday; however, the capital city-based side blew its chance.
