Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal was on Friday taken to a private hospital in Nawanshahr town in Punjab on Friday evening after he complained of uneasiness.
Badal, who attended a 'Sangat Darshan' (meeting with public) function earlier in the town, was however discharged after some time.
Sources in the Nawanshahr district administration said Badal complained of exhaustion and chest congestion. He was taken to the hospital where doctors treated him with a nebulizer and steam.
Doctors said cold wave conditions could have caused Badal's indisposition.
Badal, 88, is the oldest chief minister in the country.
