Punjab constable arrested for sexual assault

A head constable of Punjab Police has been arrested after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 23-year-old woman in Ferozepur town, police said Monday.

The victim was assaulted Sunday night after Naval Kishore found her in a park with a male friend.

The victim, a nursing student, alleged that the head constable asked the male friend to leave and then started harassing her. He forcibly took her to his house.
