R-day celebrated in Agra

The Taj city Sunday celebrated Republic Day with fervour, with Uttar Pradesh Revenue Minister Aridaman Singh taking the salute at the official event.

The biting cold, however, affected attendance at Republic Day functions organised in schools, said Hari Dutt Sharma, a teacher at the St. Andrew's Higher Secondary School.

Catholic schools celebrated the day at St. Peter's College.
