Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh will inaugurate the two-day Global Agriculture and Food summit here starting November 29, an official said on Tuesday.
"Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu will be the Chief Guest of the summit on the concluding day," Jharkhand Agriculture secretary Pooja Singhal told reporters.
More than 1,800 delegates have already registered themselves for the summit, and over 10,000 farmers of the state will participate.
On November 30, the world Bank will organise the technical session, Singhal said.
Seven countries, including China, Israel, and Malaysia will participate in the event to be held at Khelgaon.
The focus of the summit will be organic farming.
The summit is likely to discuss organic farming in horticulture and agriculture, dairy, poultry and fisheries, and food processing.
The 2011 National Games were held at Khelgaon.
