Controversial self-styled godwoman Sukhwindar Kaur alias Radhe Maa was quizzed by Mumbai Police on Friday for over four hours in an alleged dowry abetment case, even as she got temporary relief from the Bombay High Court.

On Sunday, police in Kandivali served summons ordering her to appear before them by Friday for investigations in the dowry harassment case filed by a Mumbai housewife.

A Mumbai court on Thursday rejected an anticipatory bail application filed by her to pre-empt possible arrest.

Radhe Maa on Friday moved the Bombay High Court which granted her temporary relief by granting an interim anticipatory bail for two weeks on a surety of Rs.30,000.

However, she was ordered to go to the police station on August 19 and 26 to cooperate in the ongoing probe.

Attired in her trademark red and gold clothes, Radhe Maa arrived in the Kandivali police station in north-west Mumbai accompanied by her close aides Chhoti Maa and Sanjeev Gupta.

A large number of supporters, many of them weeping, gathered near the police station since Friday morning and when they attempted to follow her inside the station house they were stopped by the security personnel.

Wielding a 'trishul' and blessing her devotees, Radhe Maa alighted from her dark SUV and was quickly whisked off by a police posse waiting for her.
