Rahat Fateh Ali Khan song for Meeruthiya Gangsters unveiled

Renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's "Naina Tose Lage" for upcoming film, Meeruthiya Gangsters' was unveiled on Wednesday.

The soothing vocals of Khan lend deep meaning to the song and a romantic flavour to the film.

The video features actors Nushrat Bharucha and Vansh Bhardwaj who seem to be throughly enjoying the song which was shot while the actors were shopping or romancinng each other at scenic locations, restaurants and boats.

The tune has been composed by Siddhant Madhav while the lyrics have been written by Arafat Mehmood.

Two upbeat songs from the album, one being the title track and a club track "Mastam Mastam" sung by Mika Singh have both been applauded by the masses with the number of hits significantly going up day by day.

"Mika Singh's voice was apt for our previous track 'Mastam Mastam' and similarly Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was perfect for this romantic track. He is choosy about his projects, so we're feeling fortunate that he accepted our song," producer of the film Shoeb Ahmed said.

"He has proved his mettle in romantic numbers and some of his songs have been blockbuster hits. So we're hoping for a similar fate for 'Naina Tose Lage' as it's one of the most soulful songs I've heard. Madhav, too has showcased his wide range of compositions with this song."

Meeruthiya Gangsters is a quirky take on the crime of a Meerut gang directed by Zeishan Quadri also starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Mukul Dev, Aakash Dahiya, Sanjay Mishra, Brijendra Kala among others is releasing on 18 September.
