The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said Congress President Rahul Gandhi "seemed to be working as a lobbyist" for companies like Airbus.
"The Airbus e-mail, which Rahul Gandhi mentioned today, spoke of some helicopter deal and not any fighter jet deal. Notably, Airbus is also under investigation for some murky deals," Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said at a press conference here.
He also took strong exception to Gandhi levelling allegation of treason on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying several deals signed under former prime ministers of the Nehru-Gandhi family were under lens, but the BJP never accused any of those prime ministers of treason.
Prasad said the charges levelled by Gandhi at a press conference earlier on Tuesday were the "height of lies and shamelessness".
