Delhi received light rain Saturday bringing respite from the searing heat during the day when the maximum temperature was recorded a notch above the average at 40.6 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast duststorm and thundershower Sunday.
"Duststorm and thundershower are likely Sunday," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The day's minimum temperature was recorded a notch below the season's average at 25.5 degrees Celsius.
The maximum and minimum temperatures Sunday are likely to hover around 40 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
The maximum temperature Friday settled four notches above the season's average at 43.6 degrees Celsius while the minimum settled a notch below the average at 25.8 degrees Celsius.
