Cricketers Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Rohit Sharma, Mohammmad Kaif and Ishant Sharma showered greetings on Indian Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar on his turning 42 on Friday.
Though the maestro ended his career 16 months ago, his popularity on-and-off the field has not dipped a single inch.
"Happy Birthday @sachin_rt paaji; an idol, a mentor and a legend in the truest sense. God Bless," Ishant tweeted.
Pathan said: "Many happy returns of the day paaji @sachin_rt. Thank u for inspiring so many ppl around the world #legend."
Kaif tweeted: "Many Many Happy Returns of the Day @sachin_rt Bhai! Have a great one."
Raina, who was Tendulkar's teammate in the 2011 World Cup-winning squad, said: "Happy birthday paji great time to celebrate all that you have done for country lots of love and prayers #SRT."
Mumbai Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, where Tendulkar is currently the mentor, said "Happy birthday @sachin_rt have a great year ahead paaji."
